Wasteland Flying Tiger Kiradashi

Perfect for carving, cutting, grafting, and my favorite... Leatherwork. The name ‘Kiridashi’ means ‘pointed knife’ in Japanese.  Traditionally, the Kiridashi knives are used for carving wood.  Every workbench should have a Kiradashi, as it is the perfect small blade for form and function

This is the first Flying Tiger Kiradashi knife we have made.

Includes:

Kiradashi --made from high carbon 1095 steel.  Hand tooled and painted Leather scales attached to the tang with contact cement and Seine Twine (Same stuff used to make nets and is stronger than 550 paracord). Acid Etched finish, differentially heat treated. Polished chisel edge (NO secondary edge bevel). This is incredibly sharp. I personally use Kiradashis daily for all of my leather cutting on a cut mat. This Kiradashi features a miniature clipped point for a stronger tip when making turns while cutting on a cut mat.

Dimensions: 6  1/4 inches long, 5/8 inch tall, 1/8 inch thick at the spine with a 1 1/8 inch cutting edge.                 ( 159mm, 15.88mm, 3.175mm, 28.575mm)

Matching hand tooled and painted Flying Tiger leather sheath made from 5oz leather.  This welted sheath is designed to reduce the chances of the Kiradashi cutting through the sheath (always a hazard with a tool this sharp)  Handcrafted to hold the knife snugly. This is the first Kiridashis sheath with belt clip for every day carry.
